The Upper Secondary at European School Copenhagen is a comprehencive multilingual youth education much like a Danish STX in terms of covering a wide range of subjects and a flexible combination and choice of subjects.

The Upper Secondary leads to the European Baccalaureate diploma, which is an officially recognised entry qualification for Higher Education in Denmark and all other countries of the European Union and in many other countries in the world.

The learning environment is international with students from many different countries and a brand new school building in the heart of Carlsberg Byen in Copenhagen.

About the Upper Secondary

Applicants have the option of applying for Secondary 5 (equivalent to 1.g.) with either Danish, English or French as their first language (L1).

As a European School, we offer a comprehensive multilingual curriculum with a combination of language, humanities and science subjects. Besides instruction in the student’s first language (L1), some of the subjects are also taught in the student’s first foreign language (L2) and as a result, you achieve a high academic level in several languages.

We also focus on the students’ well-being as we believe that well-being is essential to be able to learn and develop academically and socially. The class teachers make sure that all students have a buddy from the beginning of S5 and teachers have regular individual and group talks with all students to follow academic and social well-being closely.
