Apply for admission to existing classes during the school year 2018/19

All our Primary classes are currently full. However, it is possible to apply for ‘rolling admission’ in the event that a space becomes available during the school year 2018/19.

Apply for admission to new classes opening in the school year 2019/20 

The school plans to open a Nursery class and a Primary 1 class in a new French language section in August 2019. The admissions process for these new classes will open on 1st December 2018 and close on 15th January 2019

 

Important information about your application

All applications for admission to the school must be submitted using the school’s online application form and the following supporting documentation:

  • A copy of passport photo page or birth certificate of the child
  • A recent passport photo of the child
  • A copy of passport photo page or birth certificate of the parents/legal guardians
  • Proof of employment in Denmark (for example copy of recent contract, pay slip or letter from employer)
  • Proof of employment where one or both parents are returned Danish employees working in Danish or international companies and organisations, and who have had a permanent workplace outside Denmark for a total of one year within the last five years (if applicable)
  • Proof of guardianship of children not living with their parents (if applicable)
  • School report from the last school/kindergarten attended (if applicable)
  • School evaluation form completed by school/kindergarten (all applicants must use this template).

Your application will be assessed based on the documentation you have submitted. Without the relevant documentation, the application is incomplete and will not be processed.

The documentation should be uploaded as PDF files.

Please note that once you start the online application process, you must complete it or the information entered will be lost. It is not possible to save part of the application and return to it at a later stage.

When you have submitted your application, you should receive an email confirmation in your inbox. If you do not receive an email confirmation within one working day, please contact the school.

    Artworks created by the school's Primary 2 and 3 students are on display at Vigerslev Bibliotek in Valby until the middle of April 2018.

    Orientation Evening – Opening of Secondary Department
    All interested parents are invited to an Orientation Evening regarding the opening of the school's new Secondary department in August 2018. The school will open for admission to Secondary 1-2, English and Danish section on 1 February 2018.

    New school building in Carlsberg City district tops out!
    We have reached another important milestone towards our move to the Carlsberg City district! On Monday 18 September, Carlsberg Byen A/S held a ceremony to celebrate that the builders have ‘topped out’ and placed the highest structural feature on our new five-storey school building in the Carlsberg City district. Topping out ceremonies are held to celebrate construction progress and are an opportunity to thank the builders, designers and engineers for their work to date.

    Successful first book fair
    The European School Copenhagen hosted its first book fair at the end of August. The purpose of the book fair was to encourage and inspire a love of reading in the children, so it was great to see that they all really enjoyed attending the storytelling and browsing through the many books.
