The European School Copenhagen primarily admits pupils to the new nursery classes starting in August each year but it is also possible to apply for Primary. However, availability of spaces in the Primary classes is limited.
The Primary education cycle consists of grades P1-P5 (equivalent to 1st and 5th grade in the Danish school system) and the pupils are between 6-11 years old. You can read more about Primary here.
The school currently has grades P1-P5 in an English and Danish language section and from August 2019 plans to open a nursery class and P1 class in a French language section.
You can read more about the criteria for admission to Primary under the link Criteria and process. Please note that nursery class is a compulsory school year in Denmark and it is therefore not possible to enter the P1 class unless the child has already attended nursery class or an equivalent class elsewhere.
If you wish to apply for Primary, please use the link provided and ensure you upload the listed documentation.
